David O’Leary is hoping his double swoop for Sunderland pair Gavin McCann and Thomas Sorensen will not signal the end of his summer spending.

Aston Villa are negotiating with the Black Cats to make the Danish goalkeeper their second summer purchase following their successful £2.25m (€3.17m) swoop for McCann.
