Cudicini hit by illness

Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has been struck down by a bug and will play no part in the Blues’ opening FA Premier League Asia Cup tie against Malaysia later today.

Cudicini sat in the stands wrapped in towels as his team-mates were put through their paces by manager Claudio Ranieri.
