Beckham: I'll always be United man

David Beckham is in no doubt Manchester United will cope with his departure, as he looks forward to a new chapter in his life.

On the day the 28-year-old was unveiled as a Real Madrid player, the England captain admitted the move has “not yet sunk in”.

But he took time out to remember his time at Old Trafford and insisted the club will “always have a special place in my heart”.

He told MUTV: “I spent 13 years at Manchester United – I’ve always been a Manchester United supporter and will always follow them.

“It’s been a massive part of my life and they will always remain a big part of my life.“
