Turkey knock Brazil out of Confederations Cup

Turkey dumped world champions Brazil out of the Confederations Cup tonight after holding them to a 2-2 draw in their final group game.

Goals from Gokdeniz Karadeniz and Okan Yilmaz saw Turkey come from behind to snatch second spot in group B on goal difference from the South Americans.

Adriano had given the Brazilians the lead and Alex levelled the match in added time but it was too little too late as they were forced to settle for third in the group behind Cameroon and Turkey, who now progress to the semi-finals.
