Becks continues whirlwind summer

David Beckham’s feet will hardly touch the ground in the next two weeks following his £25m (€36m) move to Real Madrid.

The England captain is currently in Japan and next week moves on to Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand as part of a four-nation promotional tour.

Then he will return to England for a few days before flying to Madrid for a medical.

This is his potential itinerary between now and the start of the new Spanish season at the end of August.

Today-June 21: Meeting sponsors in Japan.

June 24: Arrives in Malaysia as part of a deal with Castrol UK. Meeting supporters and showing his football skills.

June 25: Under a similar arrangement he moves on to Vietnam in the morning before flying to Thailand in afternoon.

June 26-June 30: Expected to arrive home and begin preparing for a life in Madrid.

July 1: Medical at the Spanish club.

July 2: Will be unveiled as their new signing providing everything is in order.

July 25 (provisional): Madrid begin pre-season training.

August 31: Spanish season starts with the club finalising their preparations with a tour of China and Japan.
