Mjallby not worried about future
Celtic star Johan Mjallby claims he is not too concerned if Martin O’Neill ditches him at the end of next season.
Despite having just one year left on his contract, the club have made no efforts to open talks with the 32-year-old.
The Sweden international, who cost Celtic £1.5m (€2.1m) from AIK Stockholm in 1998, could walk away from the deposed champions on a Bosman free at the end of next season.
Mjallby told the Scottish Express: “I have one year left and I have not received any signals from Celtic so we will see.
“I will accept it if they want to get rid of me and I am not too worried. I don’t think Celtic would get much money for a player of my age, but I didn’t cost them much. I don’t think it would hurt them if I ended up a Bosman case.
“It wouldn’t be bad to have a new experience, but it is up to the club. I will take it one year at a time, but I feel fit and believe I still have a lot to offer at the top.”
