Police probe play-off fans clashes

British police were studying CCTV footage today in a bid to identify the ringleaders behind what they believe was “orchestrated and organised” violence ahead of this afternoon’s Division One play-off final.

Groups of rival fans supporting Sheffield United and Wolverhampton Wanderers clashed ahead of the match at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium to decide who will be promoted to the Premiership.
