Sunderland boss Mick McCarthy has admitted his club is at the mercy of the Premiership’s predators as he desperately attempts to make ends meet.

McCarthy will spend the summer attempting to wheel and deal with some of his biggest names leaving the Stadium of Light in the face of the Black Cats’ horrendous financial problems.
