Second chance for shamed duo
Aston Villa manager Graham Taylor is set to keep faith with striker Dion Dublin and midfielder Joey Gudjonsson for the visit of Manchester United on Saturday lunch-time.
Taylor has made it clear he was far from happy with the nature of their sending-offs – Dublin for a head-butt and Gudjonsson for a two-footed tackle - in the derby defeat by Birmingham.
The Villa chief must also decide whether to give a first home outing to Alpay after he asked to be given a second chance with Villa. Alpay was booed by Villa fans when he figured at Charlton and was left out of the derby clash.
Mark Delaney, Steve Staunton, Ian Taylor and Juan Pablo Angel – recuperating after a knee operation in his native Colombia – are all again ruled out.
