Blackburn rule out Intertoto Cup entry

Blackburn have ruled out entering the Intertoto Cup next season in order to concentrate on their performance in the league.

Premiership rivals Leeds have already entered the competition to try and secure European football next season, but Rovers’ chief executive John Williams said: “While the attractions of the Intertoto Cup are obvious and tempting, we believe that we must not do anything that could jeopardise our performance in the Premiership.
