United game gets go-ahead

Manchester United’s Champions League clash with Juventus at Old Trafford tonight looks set to go ahead as planned.

PA reports that UEFA have turned down a request by the Italians for the game to be postponed, even though the Serie A side have been hit by a flu virus, which has ravaged their squad for the Group D clash.

An official announcement confirming the decision is expected shortly but it appears certain Juve will be ordered to play the game.
