Wenger to ring the changes

Arsene Wenger will rest several first-team regulars as Arsenal start the defence of the FA Cup against Third Division Oxford tomorrow at Highbury.

Thierry Henry, who is nursing a slight hamstring problem, could be joined on the sidelines by Patrick Vieira, Ashley Cole, Gilberto Silva and Robert Pires, as well as possibly Sol Campbell.

Ray Parlour (hamstring) and Fredrik Ljungberg (flu) are ruled out, while Pascal Cygan (calf) is still doubtful, although Edu could return after a groin problem.

He may be joined in the starting line-up by the likes of Francis Jeffers, Kanu, Matthew Upson, Kolo Toure, Oleg Luzhny and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
