Davies is Manchester United target - report

Manchester United are on the brink of making an £8m (€12.2m) bid for Totttenham's Simon Davies, says the News of the World.

The paper claims that Alex Ferguson will make a move for the midfielder when the transfer window opens on Wednesday.

Davies signed a new five-year Spurs deal in May but that might not stop a move to Old Trafford as he would be clear to play in the Champions League.
