Rovers took the lead against the run of play on 23 minutes. Stephen Gough ended a Drogheda attack to send Shane Robinson away down the right and he cut in to shoot past Gary Rogers.

Stephen Grant then sealed the three points to keep Rovers fourth in the table when shooting home Robinson's cross on 82 minutes.
