No St Stephen's Day Sherri for Spurs
Teddy Sheringham is set to miss the St Stephen's Day London derby with Charlton after picking up a knee injury in training.
Sheringham missed the 3-2 win at Manchester City on Monday night and it was feared he could be out of of action for up to five weeks.
However, scans have shown the injury is not as bad as first thought and although Sheringham will see a specialist again this week, he is likely to be back for Sunday’s trip to Newcastle.
Gary Doherty (knee), Mauricio Taricco (throat infection) and Les Ferdinand (toe) all have an ‘outside chance’ of playing according to manager Glenn Hoddle.
Provisional squad: Keller, Carr, King, Richards, Bunjevcevic, Ziege, Poyet, Freund, Anderton, Keane, Iversen, Davies, Perry, Acimovic, Clemence, Ferdinand, Rebrov, Doherty, Hirschfeld, Sullivan.
