Bergkamp escapes ban

Arsenal striker Dennis Bergkamp was today found guilty of improper conduct and fined £5,000 (€7,800) by the Football Association for an alleged stamp on Blackburn defender Nils-Eric Johansson on October 26.

The Dutchman has escaped a ban for the incident and he is now free to take part in his club’s Christmas and New Year programme.
