Magpies missing key pair

Newcastle head into their Champions League clash with Barcelona tomorrow night without skipper Alan Shearer and striker partner Craig Bellamy.

Both men are suspended following their eventful night in the 4-1 home defeat by Inter Milan a fortnight ago, although midfielder Gary Speed returns from a domestic ban to strengthen Sir Bobby Robson’s hand in midfield and defender Titus Bramble has recovered from a hamstring problem.
