Wenger hails on-song Henry

Arsene Wenger claimed Thierry Henry is a leading contender as European footballer of the year after taking his tally to five goals in two games with a superb brace in the 3-1 defeat of Aston Villa.

Wenger believes Henry should beat Ronaldo to the award despite failing to impress at the World Cup and insists his striker is better than Manchester United’s Ruud van Nistelrooy.
