Houllier to decide on Gerrard

Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier must decide whether to rest out of touch Steven Gerrard at home to Sunderland on Sunday.

The Anfield chief has been critical of Gerrard’s form and application in the wake of Liverpool’s exit from the Champions League in Basle in midweek, and may decide to leave the England youngster on the bench.
