Kennedy pulls out of Irish squad
Wolves winger Mark Kennedy has pulled out of the Irish squad which will play Greece in a friendly match next week.
He was withdrawn by Wolves boss Dave Jones as a precaution although he is expected to play in Saturday's Division One league game at Coventry.
Kennedy has been sidelined since March after sustaining a groin injury which forced him to miss the World Cup.
He got his first taste of league action this season when he came on as a substitute for George Ndah during the 1-1 draw with Portsmouth last week and played a full 90 minutes against Brighton on Monday.
Assistant manager John Ward said: "With Mark's recovery still in it's infancy it was decided there was no point in risking him.
"He's not had the opportunity yet to get some match practice in reserve games and get his confidence back again.
"He is still training with the physio in afternoons and with the game being just a friendly we all thought it would be better for Mark to stay at the club and continue his rehabilitation."
