Report into World Cup fiasco to be published today

The independent report into the controversy surrounding Ireland's World Cup participation is expected to be made public this evening.

The Genesis Report is believed to blame the FAI for the fiasco that led to Roy Keane's departure from the Saipan training camp and, ultimately, the demise of manager Mick McCarthy.

Meanwhile, the FAI is also expected to announce the appointment today of a high-profile advisor to assist in the search for a new manager following Mick McCarthy's resignation last week.
