Byrne believes Collins saved his career

Carlisle’s Irish star Des Byrne believes manager Roddy Collins has resurrected his career after the defender’s controversial departure from Wimbledon in the summer.

Byrne was at the centre of a high-profile court case alongside Chelsea duo John Terry and Jody Morris that resulted in the 21-year-old being fined £2,000 for possessing an offensive weapon.
