An even worse mistake by Rovers keeper Tony O'Dowd, who stopped playing after he thought he heard a whistle, allowed Ger McCarthy to level on 52.

Dimech of Rovers and then St. Pat's skipper Trevor Croly were both sent off for second bookings before Robinson struck to win it on 86 minutes.
