Duff and Dunn doubtful for Rovers
Blackburn could be without both Damien Duff and David Dunn for tomorrow’s Premiership clash with Chelsea at Ewood Park.
The pair both picked up injuries on international duty at the weekend, with Irish striker Duff giving the most cause for concern.
Having only just signed a new contract with the club, Duff limped out of his country’s 4-2 European Championship qualifying defeat by Russia in Moscow after just 18 minutes with a thigh strain.
“Damien has to be doubtful for Wednesday,” Rovers boss Graeme Souness told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
Dunn meanwhile carried on until the end of the game despite being caught by a late tackle just minutes after his introduction as a second-half substitute in England’s 1-1 draw against Portugal at Villa Park.
Meanwhile, Souness is planning showdown talks with Norwegian defender Henning Berg amid weekend claims he was being forced out of Ewood Park.
Berg has denied making the comments even though he had a dressing room disagreement with his boss over defensive formations against Sunderland last year.
