Collins ready to captain Fulham

John Collins today told Fulham manager Jean Tigana he is ready to be stand-in skipper when Andy Melville does not play this season.

Regular captain Melville was dropped for Saturday’s Intertoto Cup third round, first leg 1-0 victory against Greek minnows Aigaleo at Craven Cottage, and is now sweating on his place for tomorrow’s second leg in Athens.
