Germany have reached the World Cup semi-finals with a 1-0 victory over the United States in today's semi-final in Ulsan.

A Michael Ballack goal headed in from a Christian Ziege free-kick in the 38th minute was enough to separate the sides although the Americans had the better and more numerous chances in the match.
