Roger Lemerre will decide if he is to remain France coach after being given a vote of confidence by the French Football Federation.

FFF president Claude Simonet met Lemerre this morning, along with former France coach Aime Jacquet and new football league president Frederic Thiriez, and offered Lemerre the chance to hold on to the reins despite Les Bleus’ early World Cup exit.

Lemerre, who has faced a torrent of criticism in the French press, will now consider his position before announcing if he is to oversea France’s attempt to qualify for the European Championships.
