World Cup to get underway in Seoul
The 17th football World Cup will get underway in Japan and South Korea later today.
The opening game will see cup holders France take on Senegal at 12.30pm Irish time following a short opening ceremony in Seoul.
There was a 10-hour street party in the city last night to mark the official beginning of the competition.
Ireland will open their Group E campaign against Cameroon at 7.30am Irish time tomorrow.
