Mills gets nod for South Korea tie
Leeds United full-back Danny Mills appears to be winning the race to be in the England team for their opening World Cup clash with Sweden on June 2.
Mills got the nod ahead of Wes Brown in the starting line-up for the friendly with South Korea in Jeju.
Sven-Goran Eriksson is understood to prefer Mills to Brown, who would be the choice of his assistant Tord Grip.
The big question mark that has always been held against Mills has been his questionable temperament at club level.
Eriksson opted for a 4-3-3 system as predicted with Darius Vassell, who had scored on his previous two starts for England, given the chance to stake a claim alongside Emile Heskey and Michael Owen.
Nigel Martyn was also given the nod in goal which suggests he will be the number two to David Seaman when the kick off arrives against the Swedes.
The Koreans were full of confidence and looking for another notable scalp after demolishing Scotland 4-1 last week.
