Euro soccer final ‘boosts tournament hopes’

The Uefa Champions League final will deliver a major boost to Scotland’s hopes of hosting football’s European Championships in 2008, sports minister Mike Watson said today.

The match at Hampden Park, Glasgow, on Wednesday will decide the destination of the continent’s most prestigious club prize and will be watched by millions worldwide.
