Ruud van Nistelrooy has scored his 10th Champions League goal and put Manchester United into the lead against Bayer Leverkusen at Old Trafford.

The Dutchman scored from the spot after being dragged down in the area by Ze Roberto.

Bayer Leverkusen had equalised - and gained a vital away goal - through Michael Ballack after Fabien Barthez parried an earlier effort.
