Champions League: Butt a doubt for United
Nicky Butt is Manchester United’s only injury doubt for tomorrow’s Champions League return against Deportivo La Coruna at Old Trafford.
Butt is still suffering from a migraine after taking a knock on his head during Saturday’s win at Leicester.
Alex Ferguson feels he should be better after another 24 hours and is hopeful he will be fit.
Ferguson is keen the England midfielder recovers because Roy Keane is injured and Paul Scholes is suspended.
The United manager said: ‘‘Our only doubt for tomorrow is Nicky Butt. He’s still not recovered from his head knock on Saturday.
‘‘He’s had trouble with it in the past and it normally gives him a migraine.
‘‘He trained for a little bit this morning, then had to go off so he’s a doubt at the moment.
‘‘Hopefully by tomorrow it will have cleared because I see him as a very important player tomorrow night as he was in the last game.’’
Ferguson, though, does have David Beckham back following his ankle injury, and Juan Sebastian Veron, who has shrugged off his Achilles trouble.
