Premiership: Valencia deny €49m bid for Viduka

Valencia president Jaime Orti has denied any possible move for Mark Viduka.

Valencia president Jaime Orti has denied any possible move for Mark Viduka.

The Australia international has repeatedly been linked with a big-money move away from Elland Road.

And with Valencia struggling in front of goal this season, Viduka was reportedly a €49m target.

However Orti said: "There's no interest. He's a great player but Valencia are not interested in him and therefore we have not made any contact (with Leeds)."

Valencia are level on points with Real Madrid in the Primera Liga, thanks largely to their strong defence.

They have scored just 43 times in the league - 21 fewer than Madrid.
