Premiership: Ipswich survival could be key to move
Wayne Brown reckons a return move to Watford depends on Ipswich Town’s battle to beat the Premiership drop.
The 24-year-old defender’s loan spell at Vicarage Road ended last week, but Hornets boss Gianluca Vialli is keen to bring him back once he recovers from a hamstring injury.
Brown has made just one appearance for Ipswich this season but he believes he could still have a future at the club if they lose the relegation dogfight.
He said: ‘‘Maybe Ipswich think I can’t do it in the Premiership. But if they do go down there will be changes in personnel because they have to balance the books.
‘‘I hope they do stay up but I have to look at my situation. I’ve seen what the First Division is like and it’s a completely different kettle of fish.
‘‘Maybe my first-team opportunities would be greater if they went down. I just want my future settled because I’ve fallen flat on my face trying to move.’’
