Noel Hartigan scored twice as Cork ended a run of two defeats to beat rock

bottom Monaghan and give themselves marginal hope of making the InterToto

Cup place.

Declan Field shot home a 15th minute penalty to get Monaghan back into the

game after Colin Patrick O'Brien and Hartigan struck to put Cork 2-0 up

inside 13 minutes.

Ollie Cahill ended the match as a contest with City's third goal six

minutes after the break before Hartigan snatched his second on 66 minutes.

James Mulligan scored the fifth 13 minutes from time.
