Premiership: Hamann looking forward to Houllier return
Dietmar Hamann cannot wait for Gerard Houllier to return to Anfield full-time.
Houllier visited the team to give a pep talk ahead of the win over Newcastle.
And Hamann said: "It was good to see him.
"I think everyone in the camp is pleased he's made such good progress and we hope to see him soon."
Hamann said: "I think Thommo (Phil Thompson) did a great job after the gaffer had his problems - but it's good to have him back soon.
On victory over his former club, he continued: "Newcastle played good football and had chances at 2-0 - but we're happy to have the three points.
"We've missed a load of chances recently - but you get spells like that. Fortunately they went in here.
"When you have pace it's hard to defend against."
