Premiership: United deny rumours of Veron exit

Manchester United have dismissed reports that Juan Sebastian Veron is on the verge of returning to Italy.

The Argentinean, who joined United from Lazio for £28m (€46m) last summer, has repeatedly been linked with a return to Italy, but United are adamant that Veron has no intention of leaving Old Trafford.

"It’s completely untrue that Manchester United have opened any discussions to sell Juan Sebastian Veron," according to a club spokesman.

"There is absolutely no truth whatsoever in that story."
