Internationals: Irish team announced for Russia friendly

Ireland manager Mick McCarthy has named his team for the friendly international against Russia at Lansdowne Road tonight.

Shay Given will start in goals, with Steve Finnan, Andy O’Brien, Kenny Cunningham and Ian Harte in defence.

Richard Sadlier and Colin Healy make their debuts in midfield alongside Roy Keane and Kevin Kilbane, with Robbie Keane and Damien Duff in the front line.

A sell-out 47,000 crowd is expected for tonight’s game, the first of four war-up friendlies ahead of this summer’s World Cup finals.
