World Cup: Seaman winning fitness race
David Seaman is winning his race to be fit to make the England squad for the World Cup finals.
He has made better than expected progress following a shoulder injury.
Seaman has not played for Arsenal's first team since picking up the injury in September.
The injury required surgery in November, but his progress has been good according to Gunners goalkeeping coach Bob Wilson.
Wilson believes Seaman just needs match practice after he returned for Arsenal reserves against Fulham.
"It was going well, and suddenly it's going very well because he has already played," Wilson said.
"It was a big operation on his shoulder and everything is going better than we thought.
"He came through the game against Fulham well. He made one or two really good stops.
"There's no doubt in his mind that he will be ready for the World Cup."
