Premiership: Roeder offered new Hammers deal
West Ham have offered Glenn Roeder a three-year contract extension.
Roeder endured a torrid start to life in the top flight with the Hammers suffering successive away thrashings by Everton and Blackburn.
But he quickly turned fortunes around and a 2-0 win over Blackburn at the weekend left them 11th in the table and avenged memories of a 7-1 hiding at Ewood Park.
And with a top half of the table finish looking possible, West Ham have moved quickly to try and secure Roeder's services until 2005.
West Ham managing director Paul Aldridge told a British newspaper: "We're in an advanced state of negotiations. Hopefully everything will be settled within the next week or so."
