Premiership: Vieira charged with misconduct
The British Football Association has charged Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira with misconduct for allegedly elbowing Chelsea’s Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in the head on St Stephen’s Day.
The FA’s video advisory panel deemed the incident at Highbury was worthy of a hearing.
The charge will only add to Arsenal’s woes this season, with Oleg Luzhny due to serve a one-match ban after being sent off against Blackburn last night.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst also picked up his fifth yellow card last night and will serve a similar suspension.
