Alan Kirby hit a beauty as Town won for the first time in five games.

Kirby's goal came on 68 minutes when he volleyed home after Stuart Holt's free kick was cleared to him just inside the area.

Holt had fired Town in front nine minutes earlier from the penalty spot after Clive Delaney had pulled down Fergal Coleman.

But UCD were angered at not getting a free out for a foul on keeper Barry Ryan in the build-up to the penalty.

College levelled within a minute when Mick O'Donnell shot home at the back post from a John Martin cross.
