Soccer: Scottish teams to be punished over crowd trouble
Rangers 1-0 win over Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League was overshadowed by trouble caused by supporters from both sides.
The game had to be stopped and both teams left the pitch after Aberdeen striker Robbie Winters was hit by a coin.
Police intercepted 30 home fans as they left the stand behind the Aberdeen goal to try to confront the Rangers supporters.
Lorenzo Amoruso’s goal gave Rangers three points but both teams are expected to face punishment by the football authorities due to the behaviour of their supporters.
