A brace of second half strikes from Jason Byrne ended his 14-match goal drought to sink Rovers at the Carlisle Grounds.

Byrne opened the scoring on 64 minutes when turning home Paul Keegan's low cross as Rovers' appealed for an offside.

Rovers then lost captain Pat Scully three minutes later when he was sent off for dissent.

Bray added their second goal on 81 minutes when Byrne raced through the Rovers defence to shoot past Tony O'Dowd after a slip by Greg Costello.

Sean Francis got Rovers' consolation goal in stoppage time.
