Premiership: Giggs scores his second goal

Ryan Giggs has scored his second goal of the game to send Manchester United two goals clear against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Welsh winger hit a powerful shot from a tight angle after a van Nistelrooy flick two minutes into the second half.

Giggs scored the first when he seized on a costly error by Fulham keeper Edwin van der Sar on David Beckham’s long-awaited return to action.

Giggs also set up Ruud van Nistelrooy to put United further ahead.

Fulham, who had earlier hit the bar twice, pulled a goal back through Sylvain Legwinski on the stroke of half-time.
