UEFA Cup: Rangers involved in plane scare
Glasgow Rangers survived a scare on their arrival in Paris, when the pilot of their chartered plane had to abort the landing with just seconds to spare.
Pilot Steve Westmacott sent his plane surging upwards when he spotted an American airliner on the runway as he approached.
Rangers play Paris St Germain in the Uefa Cup on Wednesday.
Westmacott said: "I could see the runway through the window. There was another plane on it."
Rangers' aircraft was forced to circle around the French capital for a further 20 minutes before making a successful landing.
England defender Michael Ball is missing from the travelling party after suffering a knee injury in training on Monday.
He joined Neil McCann and Christian Nerlinger on the sidelines.
