The FAI has moved quickly to ensure the farcical scenes that caused last night's eircom Premier Division clash between Derry City and Shelbourne to be delayed by 35 mins do not happen again.

The top of the table clash, which eventually ended in a scoreless draw, was almost postponed because of a dispute that arose following referee Hugh Byrne's insistence that Shels change their white jerseys because he felt they clashed with the red and white stripes of the Derry jersey.
