Premier League issues legal proceedings against PFA
The British Premier League and Football League have begun legal proceedings against the Professional Footballers Association over its threat to call a strike next month.
Although the leagues are still hoping the dispute over TV revenue can be resolved, the shortage of time before the proposed December 1 strike has led them to serve notice on the PFA.
A hearing in the British High Court will take place next week.
The PFA is planning to strike because of the authorities’ refusal to hand over a fixed percentage of TV revenues to the association.
