Soccer: Ireland up to 18 in FIFA world rankings

Ireland have moved up to two places to 18 in FIFA’s top 20 world rankings, following qualification for next year’s World Cup finals.

France remain at number one in the rankings and are followed by Argentina, Brazil and Portugal. Colombia are fifth followed by Italy, Spain and Holland, who failed to qualify for the finals. Mexico are ninth and England are in tenth spot.
