Soccer: Taylor blasts ‘arrogant’ Premier League

Professional Footballers’ Association chief executive Gordon Taylor has blamed the Premier League’s ‘‘patronising and arrogant’’ attitude for the impending players’ strike.

The players’ union last night took the unprecedented step of issuing strike notices to all Premiership and Football League clubs warning that industrial action will take place the weekend after next.
